"Ozgur Bedenler" translates into "Independent Bodies / Free Bodies".

Ozgur Bedenler was established in 2004 to provide that people with temporary or permanent disabilities enjoy life by offering them solutions that will make their lives easier.

Ozgur Bedenler is the importer, representative and manufacturer of many equipment and device that will help people with disabilities have a more comfortable life. The company also provides consultancy in areas where needed that serve to increasing the awareness  among general public for people with disabilities and their needs. Ozgur Bedenler believes that ‘every person is a candidate for being disabled’ and everybody should try to understand the needs of disabled people.

The first product Ozgur Bedenler manufactured is Aqualift, a pool lift, that helps people with disabilities or weight problems or elderly have easy access to swimming pools. Ozgur Bedenler holds the patent rights of this product and is the first company that manufactured it in Turkey. In line with incoming inquiries, the company expanded its product portfolio rapidly to include products that fit the needs of people with disabilities.

Other products Ozgur Bedenler manufactured after its launch of Aqualift are patient  transfer systems, patient lifts, patient transfer boards, bed grip bars, wheelchairs, wall bars, walking sticks and walkers.

Ozgur Bedenler is the exclusive distributor of rollable and mobile ramps manufactured by the Roll a Ramp company.

Besides marketing of products for disabled people for individual use, Ozgur Bedenler also has solutions for hotels answering their designing needs for rooms for their disabled guests and swimming pools with easy access for their  disabled guests. The company also has a product portfolio addressing requests from rehabilitation centers.

The Story

The story of the company, Ozgur Bedenler by Serdar OZDIL, CEO

As everybody knows since 1981 we have been producing hydraulic machines which can stow and lift with carrying also we are master in this sector.

On one of the evening of a spring, 2004 I was watching TV and zaping.Then I encountered a TV programme concerning disableds. The main atmosphere , theme or slogan of the programme is “Diving is freedom!”  Due to I’m also a scuba diver I interested that programme so much and went on to watch carefully. This program took place around Bodrum. Disableds were worn equipments of diving and oxygen tube. There were a professional diver for each disabled, namely it seemed everything was well organized and had already been planned before diving. As most people know, Bodrum has little beach but more rocky. So the place of programme was on the rocky area. There was a piece of cloth or carpet on the rocky parts to get easier to access to the sea for disableds. By using this carpet the disableds were being skidded to the sea. Even, they were handled by their arm-pits to access to the sea. This was very priminary. I saw they were suffering to Access to the sea however they all were very ambitious to swim. When I saw this picture I started to cry. This was completely
sorrowful picture. I was aware of that organizators had to have more facilities for disableds. Technology was needed for such activities. As soon as I turn off the TV I stopped crying and started to brainstorm. Why Turkey had no tecnology to provide disableds to access to the sea? How can we overcome this problem? Most importantly in The World, what were being done throughout the World for disableds to Access to sea? This was my new target. When I came back to my office I talked with my assistants and explained that I had a new machine project for disableds and I would have set up a new company. We organized a meeting with my experts for brainstorming. We reached a vision, we would provide disableds freedom. We all focused on this points with all energy and love we have. We attemt to set up OZGUR BEDENLER the day after. By the way, I would like to mention that my wife, Ms. Sunay OZDIL, supported me very much. I really love her and present all my best wishes to her.

To produce a pool lift, we searched all products in same category and we invented a new machine which is easy to install, use and remove also more hygienical and economical.
Even we achieved to run this machine just water. At last we came to an end we opened to the market with this product in 2006.

We received very good reactions and impulses. This was the first product for disableds by our company. Now we have been a big family all together.

We provide them all they need because they are our part.

After one project finished another started. We didn’t stop and couldn’t stop. Sometimes we were working on two projects simultaneously.

We wouldn’t stop beacuse we had love desire and belief on this way.
Our first project was wheelcairs after that ramps immediately after that we collected all
kind of products enable to access disableds to the sea.

We are the well known and most specialized company for disableds with vehicle systems, robotic arms, bathing devices, disabled transfer systems. Now we are the biggest manufacturer and provider. OZGURBEDENLER, the best  and most trusted trademark in Turkey.

Most people ask me whether I have a disabled around me, in my family or not. Why you have started this job? I smile, because we have already been a family. Everyday I pray the God, for their health. This is destiny but I want you know that if we are needed we are here.
